Something in you says it is time for change. Change can feel scary, and reaching out for support can feel even more so. You are here, looking for support for a reason. Whether that reason is a desire for personal growth, healing past trauma, strengthening important relationships, feeling stuck, or coping with life's many transitions and hardships, or anything else--you are here, contemplating change.
If you are ready to begin taking steps toward living more wholeheartedly by bringing your thoughts, words, and behaviors into alignment with your unique values and goals, it is time we meet!
Time in therapy is yours. What you bring into the room, what you choose to focus on, what you practice outside of our sessions... that is where the magic really happens. You have everything you need already within you: your strengths, challenges, and even your growth areas. My role is to come alongside you and guide you as you nourish and cultivate your intuition and find your voice-enabling you to thrive.
I also have a heart for those who experience the pain of betrayal due to a partner's infidelity, affairs, or porn/sex addiction. You do not need to go through this alone! In addition to therapy, I offer both individual and group education and support year round that will help you regain a sense of stability, understand what you are experiencing, and help you find the information you need so you can make wise decisions for yourself and your relationship. For more information, visit the Betrayal Trauma Support page of our website, or contact me for a consultation call.
A little bit about me:
A client once commented that I have a "mama bear vibe," and I love that description so much! First and foremost-I am a mom. I have raised two incredible daughters, which has been both my greatest joy and my greatest challenge. As my daughters got older, I returned to school and earned my Bachelors of Science in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho, and my Masters of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from Friends University.
Now, as I work towards obtaining full licensure, I feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity I have to sit with clients like you who are choosing to step into vulnerability and courage. A key element in my work and a key motivator in creating the change you want to see, is increasing our capacity for self-compassion. I am passionate about compassion! I love that I get to listen, feel, validate, coach, cheer, challenge, and teach in my profession. I create therapy that is personalized to you-because you are unique!

Do you struggle with feeling disconnected from yourself and others? Do you put your needs at the bottom of the to-do list? Do you wonder if life should feel somehow better? Or happier? Now more than ever, people are feeling anxious, overwhelmed and uncertain about how they are suppose to manage their relationships, careers and their lives. Pushing away your needs and not taking time for yourself can lead to long-term issues for your mind and body. I believe it shouldn't be so hard to live a wholehearted life.
I offer a custom approach for each client. I start with understanding where you have come from, where you are now and the challenges you are facing. Together we put a plan in place to help you move forward, and we celebrate your successes along the way. I offer an inclusive, safe space with in-person or virtual appointments to suit your schedule. Helping people live a better life is my passion. It might mean learning to set boundaries, working through a loss, past trauma, life transition or helping you change a pattern of behavior that is keeping you stuck. My goal is to help you feel better so you can live the life you dream of!
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Arizona State University, where I learned the importance of empowering each individual to navigate their unique journey to holistic health. I am passionate about providing therapeutic support to individuals with diverse nuerodivergent experiences, including those with ADHD and autism. I later, pursued my passion for counseling and obtained a Master's degree in School Counseling from Northern Arizona University and a Masters of Science in Marital and Family therapy from Friends University.
In addition to my professional endeavors, I am also an advocate for strong families. As a mother of five wonderful kids and a wife of 25 years, I've experienced firsthand the joys and challenges that come with nurturing a large and close-knit family. Having adopted a child through the foster care system, I have witnessed the profound transformation that love, care, and secure attachment can bring into a child's life. I use EMDR and play in my treatment to help children create change that can last a lifetime.
As I work toward completing my post-grad residency requirements I integrate a range of evidenced-based modalities to provide comprehensive and personalized support to my clients. By combining EMDR and CBT, I strive to create a therapeutic environment that supports healing, resilience, and positive transformation for individuals, couples, children and family units.
You do not have to walk this journey alone! Let us begin this profound exploration, and together, we will unlock the boundless possibilities that await you on this incredible journey of self-discovery, healing and growth.
